President and Principal Land Consultant

Mr. Dean Gould is currently the President and Principal Land Consultant of Spectrum Land Services Ltd.. Prior to incorporating Spectrum Land Services Ltd., Mr. Gould held a number of senior land related positions with both privately held and publicly traded Oil & Gas companies trading on the TSX and NYSE.

During his career development, Mr. Gould managed the Land Department for two privately held Fortune 500, U.S. based companies. During his tenure, the companies significantly increased their respective acreage position through crown, freehold, inter-company acquisitions and trades which resulted in aggressive exploratory and development drilling programs. Mr. Gould has also held senior negotiating landman positions for a number of other notable companies, resulting in extensive inter-company negotiations involving the exploration and development of both conventional and heavy oil properties within Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia.

Mr. Gould is well versed in undertakings involving farmins/farmouts, seismic/drilling options, inter-company JV's, acquisitions, dispositions, and the logistical steps and paper skills required to realize objective in a timely manner. In addition, he also has a strong familiarity with the various regulatory bodies, surface constraint issues, third party processing requirements and time-lines associated with operations in Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia.

Mr.Gould, in past, has been a sessional Instructor/Educator for the MacPhail School of Energy located in Calgary, Alberta, in which he taught the Contract Documentation course as part of the Petroleum Land Administration Diploma Program.

Mr. Gould graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Economics, minor in Business (Commerce). Prior to graduating from the University of Calgary, Mr. Gould also obtained a Diploma from Mount Royal University in Petroleum Mineral Land Management. Mr. Gould is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Landmen (AAPL) and the Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen (CAPL) in which he has obtained the Professional Landman accreditation (P.Land) and has many years of experience in exploration and development operations involving conventional oil and gas, along with heavy oil, coupled with extensive experience involving land acquisitions and dispositions in the oil and gas industry.
